Dr. Debbie Rabina holds an M.L.S. from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Ph.D. from Rutgers University. She teaches at the School of Information and Libraries Studies, Pratt Institute in Manhattan. Debbie's research focuses on the interrelationship between information policy and democratic models. More specifically, she examines the way varying democratic micro- and macro-organizations on the local, national, and cooperative level, form and harbor information policies that stem from and support their perception of democracy. Her publications examine specific information policy values, such as openness and privacy, and relate them to democratic models.
