Professor Anders Linde-Laursen teaches Anthropology and International Studies in the School of World Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has ongoing teaching projects at Fudan University,Shanghai, and at VCUQ, VCU's art and design campus in Education City, Doha, Qatar. Linde-Laursen's research has focused on nation-building in developed countries, with a focus on Scandinavia, and on spatial aspects of identity formation, with a focus on a small town in California. He is currently interested in the dramatic processes of transformation that shape new global cities, especially in Africa and Asia (Doha, Dubai, Shanghai).
