Cockroft

Jeannette W. Cockroft grew up in the northeastern part of the U.S. and graduated in 1980 with a B.A.. in East Asian languages and cultures from the University of Pennsylvania.  In 1989 she completed an MA in political science from the University of Kansas and in 2000, earned a Ph.D. in history from Texas A&M University.  She is a member of numerous academic honor societies and her biography appears in numerous editions of Who’s Who, including most recently, Who’s Who in American Education.  She has also made several professional presentations in the United States, China, and the Phillippines. Cockroft is currently an assistant professor of history and political science at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.  In 2001-2002, she was the director of the Suzhou University-Marshall University Joint Language Program in Suzhou, PR China.  Since that time, she has made two additional trips to China and has been faculty at the Hangzhou Babel Language Center/Huipu Educational Center summer English language camp.
