THE ENDANGERED ALPHABETS PROJECT

We’ve all heard about endangered species. But what about endangered languages? Tim Brookes researches languages on the brink of being completely forgotten, and he’s here to break ‘em down and store ‘em up with his Endangered Alphabets project. Brookes carves and paints near-extinct writing systems from Indonesia, Nigeria, and beyond into wood, and he’s planning a traveling exhibition to preserve these scripts and the fascinating cultures they embody.

The Endangered Alphabets Project needs invites for a Vermont a professor traveling the world to attempt to save endangered languages... Please help.

IPP Environmental Physics News

Hi Friends:

We have created a google group called IPP Environmental Physics (and we operate under the Umbrella of IPP, which is an NPO / NGO) working to spread education into poorer and under priviledged countries.

The name of the group, as it suggests, is about the environment and how can we solve environmental issues through physics. Most of us by now must have realized that the majority of our planets environmental isues like globl warming, pollution, the energy crisis, and electronic waste can be understood from the perspective of physics.

So I think it will be more fun for us to actually go and seek such solutions and who knows one day our group can be a success story.

We invite volunteer members for our group. We also require some volunteers to manage the group. Everyones invited.

Thanks and Regards,
Sumit.
